Short-Term Graphic Design Position

The Children’s Trust is looking to hire an assistant graphic designer for a short-term position — responsible for graphic design of printed materials such as brochures and other collateral. There is also potential to include web-based design projects. As part of a communications team, which includes a full-time graphic designer, this person will work to develop concepts, create mock-ups, design drafts, and complete final designs for printed materials.

Snow Farm Summer: The New England Craft Program for High School Students is currently accepting applications to teach in our summer 2014 courses. All positions are temporary and require living on our campus in Williamsburg, MA. Pay is competitive and room and board are provided.We offer studios in Ceramics, Glassblowing, Flameworking, Weaving, Textile Surface Design, Metalsmithing & Jewelry, Drawing & Painting, Welding, Woodworking, Digital Photography, and Digital Video.In addition to responsibilities in the studio, all studio instructors participate in other recreational activities and assist with overall supervision of the students in the residential setting.

Qualifications/​Requirements:
Open Positions:Head of Studio (in all media): Applicants must be enrolled in a MFA program or be a working studio artist and must have teaching experience.Assistant Head of Studio (in all media): Applicants can be entering their senior year in a BFA program or equivalent with teaching experience.

Job Description:
Join the Creative Services team as a design intern. If you are nearing completion of a graphics art degree and would like to gain significant workplace experience before graduation, this is the ideal internship for you. You’ll produce a wide range of printed materials including signs, brochures, fliers and postcards and help solve design and construction problems related to museum signage, packaging, etc. Interns will learn to take a job from conception through printing (including press checks).
Qualifications/​Requirements:
College student and skilled designer, proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, who can work independently and with a team. You must also have good writing skills and be interested in working in an arts/nonprofit environment. The ability to work well with staff throughout the organization is essential.
